Flat Peening Anvil

Flat wide peening anvil is great for scythe repairs or traditional peening with the narrow hammer peen. The anvil that we supply is hand-polished to a near mirror shine. The edges are rounded to prevent damage to the edge of the scythe or sickle. The surface has a lentil shape. We use this peening anvil only for repairs and straightening of the scythe blades. For peening, we use the narrow peening anvil and the hammer flat face. A much more balanced peening can be achieved in this way.
